Nacha is seeking comments from all ACH Network participants on a proposal to increase the Same Day ACH per-payment limit from $1 million to $10 million.

Since its launch in 2016, and especially following the 2022 increase to $1 million, Same Day ACH has become an essential tool for faster payments. This proposal represents the next step in expanding its value.

  • The benefits and potential impacts of a $10 million limit.
  • Risk management, fraud prevention, and appropriate controls.
  • Operational and liquidity considerations for both ODFIs and RDFIs.
  • Customer demand and anticipated adoption.

Comments are due by Thursday, Dec. 18, 2025.
